Palmer is better.

If you said Palmer could be better then I’d agree. But Palmer has barely played prem football and when he hasn’t he hasn’t impressed. This kid has so he has that. I don’t think there is any harm in trying to develop palmer by loaning him out. We clearly rate him as otherwise he’d have been sold like the rest of the kids.

There in lies the issue with transfer windows for us these days - we have a really small pool to fish in, although we may pick up a rare gem like Akanji (I'd live to know which scout saw that one)

Akanji had been touted all over Europe with no takers. He was offered to us to our surprise. We had seen him but no more. Scout reported he was ok as back up.

Chelsea apparently agreed terms for Kudus from Ajax. Perhaps we are making a deal with Palace for Olise. Could maybe even be a youngster included

I like Olise as a player but for the way we play I’d want highlight videos of him taking on nothing but 2-3 men in a packed defense. The hard part of being a winger for us is that you almost never find yourself isolated in space against a retreating back line. There are lots of skillful wingers who can win 1 v 1 but our wingers frequently have to deal with the double team of a wing back and a wide CB with a cdm in support.

He used to be a midfielder, his PlayStyle out wide is akin to Mahrez. His control and dribbling are fantastic.

Interesting to see what happens with these young lads this season. Will Palmer get another chance to impress or is Bobb likely to get the nod. It is difficult to make an impression if you are only getting the odd start and a few late substitutions. If you get a chance to start in an A game you have to grab it a bit like Lewis has. Maybe we are only ever going to get one player from the academy every 4 or 5 years who is good enough to get a regular start for the first 11.

Lewis is definitely good enough to contribute in big games this season

Mate, you need to take a closer look at Perrone & ESPECIALLY Lewis!

Lewis is our most talented academy product since Foden, & he's being gently eased in just as Phil was...

With Bobb & McAtee I think they deserve a season around the first team. With Palmer I agree he had his chance last season & failed to impress, so I think a season away at a lower PL club will benefit Cole & City.

Lewis no hes already established and will not be going anywhere getting a new contract as an award, the best PL break through player last season the others likely to go although Bobb might get the chance
