Lets show michael our support for him, starting at the friendlies 1 michael johnson there's only 1 mahael johnson.

This kid needs a bit of loving from us city fans so lets get behind him chaps!

I hope he comes through this, he only needs to look at past footballers who took the road he's been going down to see what happens.

All the best Michael.

Thats a top shout MR. Fixer.

I - like 99% of the people on here I'm predicting - know NOTHING about MJ's private life or his medical history, just the rumours so until I hear anything from City officially or see something with my own eyes I will reserve judgement and get behind him even though I don't particularly rate him.

Like with Superman I am waiting to be proved wrong and will be pleased to be so.

I really rate this kid. He just looks so natural on the ball. Fingers crossed he has a good pre-season and gets back to the level of fitness he was at, which isn't impossible if he's fit enough to train. He just needs to get his head down and play football.

fook me, theres a lot of cockyness in them eyes, and the rye smiles, i reckon its more to do with the fact he hiding some depression by fronting arrogance and a ''dont give a fuck'' attitude. if you ask me he looks embarrased with what hes let happen. somebody needs to grab hold of him and drag him out of this phase....he needs to be assigned a personal trainer sharpish....but he needs to assign it himself....so its a self inflicted step in his rehab

he looks like hes aged a lot in the past year......in fact, it looks like hes been drinking hard for about 10 years nevermind one......

sad to see but in a way this could be a situation where you reach the bottom of the pit and turn your life around for the better....just hope he has the drive and motivation to do it

Maybe somebody should send him the Jeff Whitley thread to read.

I am shocked at how fat he looked and his eye's tell the tale he looked sad and depressed, the tell tale sign of an alcoholic, i guess he looked a bit like i look but i drive a van for a living and not meant to be a pro footballer something i would have gave everything for.

He needs help from Adams last chance saloon.

Hi people, I can tell you a little about the injury that Johnson suffered, but nothing about his personal life as it is not as bad as everyone makes out. The injury was to a muscle in his groin which, in turn was causing him trouble to his lower back, he found it hard running at full speed and even jumping. The groin problem was first sorted fairly easily but came back when at full speed. It is a very difficult injury to treat as the groin is naturaly difficult, needs time and rest. At this time he is doing lots of different exercises and the groin muscle itself is becoming stronger and he no longer has trouble running even at full speed. There was a slight problem whilst jumping couple of weeks ago but that was down to fatigue on another muscle in the groin (it was compensating for the injured one) which is now rested and it appears to have settled. That is the injury in a nutshell I would bore you all to death with the scientific stuff.

I haven't read all 18 pages, so forgive me if I've got this wrong, but their seems to be one or two doubters about MJ.
stu9488 posted this and he has something to do with medicals at the club so I would take his word on it rather than believe gossip.

Will he always have the damaged muscle or is it a development injury that youngsters get when they are growing fast.

The injury is mainly due to his pupic bone, which in turn was causing his groin problem which led to the back problem as you can see it took a while to get to the root of the problem, as far as we can tell it is NOT a lasting injury and is just down to misfortune, its too early to see at this stage if it will reoccur, only time will tell.

and he posted this.
He also told us about RSC and his medical and said he is fine for pre season training no reassurance of his old knee injury.

Sorry if you've already read it.

I can't really say I've ever been his biggest fan to be honest, not slagging the guy off at all but he's never blown me away at all and I could never see what the big fuss was about him.

In my opinion, he obviously needs to lose a load of weight, get back to full fitness and then we should maybe look at loaning him to another Premiership club as he won't get anywhere near the amount of first team action he needs.

I'm struggling to see where we'd play a fully fit Michael Johnson with our squad at the moment what with De Jong, Barry, Ireland & Kompany who all play through the middle and are streets ahead of him I reckon.

After the initial depression for obvious reasons he is very up beat at the moment and now he realises his injury is now subsiding he can work on things and hopefuly get himself fit for pre-season although I wouldnt expect him to be in full training until around Augast

Here's another one off, Stu9488. It ties in with what Zin Zimmer said, who also knows fact's about Michael, he is getting ready to come back.
Like some of you have said, he might struggle to get back in the team but here's hoping.
