Am I being harsh only having very limited sympathy for the lad???? Heres a young talented boy being paid a substantial amount of money playing a game he loves and being able to potentially retire at the age of 35 and never have to work in life ever again, and if you believe what you read then it sounds like he's throwing this opportunity away

not at all, worked for someone in the summer who had his wall demolished by johnson in his mustang after a night out in the early hours. johnson drove off but eventually owned up and paid for the repairs.
seems to me that however good we are at bringing these talented lads through we dont give them enough support outside the club. barton johnson and even micah seems to be letting last years praise go to his head. only one who seems to have alot about him is nedum, cannot fault this lad one bit, does himself justice on and off the pitch.

There was a fairly heated debate on here at the time about this. If I remember rightly most were against him getting an improved contract until he proved he was worth it. Looks like they were right :-(

When did Johnson sign his new contract? Can't remember for the life of me. Was it pre Thaksin selling the club?

If it was then that explains it. We were holding onto anything that smacked of potential/quality.
