There are morons on here who support Hamas (a proscribed terrorist organisation) and yet the fact is Hamas is supported by Russia and Syria who have both engaged in their own genocides within the last 10 years. None of you cared about genocide then so let's forgo the moral arguments.

Where is the similar level of criticism for Russia, Syria and therefore Hamas? Do you not realise that Hamas STILL holds hostages from 7/10? Why aren't you calling for their surrender which will immediately end this conflict?

You then have Iran who wants to commit genocide in Israel and supports Hamas. You also have Yemen which is led by a militia movement who supports Hamas and similarly wants to commit genocide in Israel (alongside the genocide of Jews and the west).

And some people want me to believe that we should just focus on what Israel is doing whilst Israel is completely surrounded by genocidal lunatics? It's a bit ironic and hypocritical isn't it?

What Israel is doing to the Palestinians is yes completely wrong on every level, I agree. However, you have to consider who started this escalation by committing the acts on 7/10, the answer is Hamas. You only then have to ask who is arming and supporting Hamas and that leads you to the answer of why the west continues to and will always support Israel.

I'm just pointing out the extreme levels of hypocrisy and ignorance to how this situation is far more complicated and cannot readily be simplified. Israel must stop I agree but people need to understand that the west is not going to act against Israel because it can't due to the geopolitics involved.

To answer why the west is hesitant, just ask yourself how many countries allied to Russia have acted to stop Russia from its genocide in Ukraine? Why doesn't China sanction Russia? Why is Iran supplying drones to be used to attack Ukraine? These are all countries calling upon Israel to stop but why don't they stop Russia??

If you want to see the world hypocrisy on genocide then just look at the vote below in the UN. This vote was to condemn Russia for its aggression and acts in Ukraine. Note that South Africa is prosecuting Israel for genocide and yet it somehow lost its conscience when it came to criticise its friend Russia.

Much of this issue is about a new axis order of west vs anti-west, that's ultimately what it comes down to and unfortunately the Palestinians are right now represented by the extreme anti-west. Because of this the west cannot act to easily stop Israel and unfortunately the Israeli regime is quite clearly taking advantage.

What a fucking car crash. First of all, point me to anyone on this forum that supports Hamas. Secondly, Netanyahu has already declared that they won't stop when the hostages have been released, his endgame to is get rid of Palestine as a state and by extension the Palestinian people.

You’ve now shifted your argument from “genocide is ok as long as other entities are doing it” and strawman arguments to proclamations of what other influential nations will or will not do as a means of criticising those in this thread (and presumably in the world beyond) denouncing the far-right Israeli regime’s genocidal campaign in Gaza and the West Bank.

Nearly all of us are well aware of the complexities of the conflict, the actors involved, and their motivations and aims. We all just understand that doesn’t have any bearing on whether Israel is committing genocide. There is very little (if any) hypocrisy, as most of us have denounced Hamas, Russia, Syria, etc and spoken about the dysfunctional checks on Israeli actions against Palestinians for decades, among other topics.

Only you seem to want to obfuscate that debate with pontification about aspects of the conflict we already know and have discussed, whilst ignoring the actual elements that are relevant: the rise of the far-right in Israeli politics, their consistently stated beliefs and goals, and the implications of their ideology, and the reality of their actions now.

Btw, I never once said that genocide is okay. I'm just bored of this thread and the anti-west sentiment given the hypocrisies that exist elsewhere.

I'm confused

Israel is in Asia and the Eastern hemosphere
Moscow is in the Western hemoshere and in Europe (unlike Vladivostok which is in Asia and the east).

To criticise Israel isn't anti-west sentiment, to criticise the UK for backing them is though, so to say Israel is ethnic cleasing Gaza isn't bashing the west, to say starmer and sunak are genocide enablers is.

Russia are cunts full stop, you can find Likud and United Russia both terrible and horrific Political parties and governments, on them there is no side to take, both are commiting war crimes and breaking international law and are murderers.

Hamas goes without saying are cunts something everyone on this thread has repeatedly said from the start.
