Most of the news has been about two girls out of the Tens of thousands who were marching over the weekend. The cameras zoomed in on those Two having a picture of a paraglider on their backs. Now this is pretty obvious what they are describing and it's abhorrent but to give it wholes segments with what's going on in Gaza is ridiculousI wonder if the shit at number 10 has commented or as usual no word of criticism for the Israeli government?. No argument with that. Only exception would be if Hamas did not have a ceasefire and the Israelis had to continue to defend their own innocent civilians.
Hamas are a terrorist organisation and don’t play by the same rules as states. The sooner they are removed from the picture the better all round - although that can not be the sole objective here there needs to be a “then what” plan.
If Israel wants a real change in the dynamics then that leadership comes from the top of the Israeli government - you can never expect others to change, if you want change you have to change your own behaviour/ attitude as that is the only thing you can control.
What if the mad gunman is actually a team of thousands of gunmen and that one house of hostages is surrounded by more houses of mad gunmen. Plus, when the mad gunmen aren't holding people hostage, the buggers are also firing rockets at the surrounding houses containing civilians.If a mad gunman kills some people and then barricades himself in to a house with 3 hostages, do the police get the bloke by blowing up the house, and sod the hostages?
What do you do in this situation? I'd imagine as a civilian living nearby I'd want something to be done about it I reckon.

The creation of the State of Israel was always going to be problematic. Essentially a huge number of people, culturally western, landed in a middle eastern country.
It certainly has seemed that the only way to guarantee its existance is for there to be sporadic violence on both sides that has upheld the status quo.
The idea that there would be long term peace without a viable Palestinian state on its border's is idiotic. And both Israeli governments, Hamas and various other actors seem keen for this not to happen.
