Middle East Conflict

Actually incorrect in that there were plenty of Jewish attacks on Arabs well before 48. As well as vice versa.
In addition the first Palesinian war was caused by the destruction of Palestinian villages and the subsequent fleeing of 700,000 people.
Not sure you quite get how much Palestinian land and property was sequestered during this period.
In many cases the surrounding Arab countries told the 700k to flee the land as they would defeat Israel and would welcome them back once the victory was secured. It didn't work out that way and the same Arab countries didn't want to accept these people in their land.

In the beginning they were ambiguous, it wasn’t s in their interests to support Israel until it isn’t (first gulf war for example Israel came very close to being cut adrift, they were going to attack Iraq for launching Scuds at them, doing so would have destroyed the coalition, and they were adamant about it, until they were told in no uncertain terms that if they did, there was no more military aid, they didn’t
I love the wishful thinking.
Israel only backed off then because the US promised to sort it out and did. The US was still supporting Israel.

I can't watch any news coverage anymore.

I can't tell fact from propaganda.
I'm getting pissed off with the gaslighting from various Israeli speakers attacking news agencies as "supporters of terrorism" for having the audacity to challenge their answers.
All because the news organisations are trying to show balance that doesn't fit your view of the world. Ho hum.
Hamas are proven genocidal scum.
The IDF by their often no-tolerance, and often idiotic, actions allow the world to think that Israel are "Just as Bad".

Good Morning !!
It was indeed a strange decision to choose Palestine in some ways as perhaps with the benefit of hindsight not the greatest choice, but historically the most obvious. I believe Hertzl and Weissman looked at Uganda and Argentina as possibilities for a new homeland. Hitler later suggested Madagascar. At the turn of the 20th century there was a small percentage of Jews in Palestine and the impresssion I get is there was peace and harmony. But after the Pogroms in Russia and Eastern Europe, the Jews started to move to Palestine. In fact they started to legally buy property from Palestinians and this caused some resentment.
Has anyone wathced Born in Gaza yet ?Interested on comments about that ?

All of that is correct.

But there was always the intention by Zionists moving to Palestine or involved in the planning to carve out a piece of the territory.

The below passage was written just after the first world war. The sentiment is still shared by some Zionists on here.

'The Arabs should recognize that the road of renewed national glory lies through Baghdad, Damascus and Mecca, and all the vast territories freed for them from the Turks and be content. ... The powers that freed them have surely the right to ask them not to grudge the petty strip (Israel) necessary for the renaissance of a still more down-trodden people.'

Palestinian Arabs do not need self-determination because they can have it in another Arab State.

I hope that everyone sees and understands the difference between money that goes to defense and living settlements and money that goes to death tunnels! Everyone closes their eyes that instead of moving forward and building hospitals and businesses and workplaces with the big money of the Arab world, everything goes to terrorism! Gaza closed its eyes and it's time for the world to intervene
, why is the goal of a people only terrorism?
Don't you see the difference between
the parties? I understand years of images and brainwashing by the BBC but everyone knows the truth

I can only advise you to put yourself in the shoes of a Palestinian mother whose land has been stolen and children killed by people from these "living settlements".

Blaming the messenger, however comforting for you, does not change the reality.

Your neo-Zionist attitude and sentiment is very much part of the problem. Of course we’re all brainwashed and only you know the truth. I’d wager the majority of people on this thread think both sides are as bad as each other, your post certainly does little to counter that impression.
That's your opinion, I'm glad a lot of BBC and Al Gazira people are listening (there are already results to check who bombed the hospital)
They applaud the messages that my friends and I are trying to explain.
You see the horrors of Oct. 7
This is the same terrorism that attacked the twins in New York and the same terrorism that we are already warning deep in Europe

I think he is trying to say that Israel spends money on building communities whereas Hamas siphons off money intended for the normal population to build their terror tunnels, buying weapons and generally making themselves richer instead of building schools, hospitals, investing in power plants etc.

Terror tunnels? Some are certainly a strategic threat to Israel but the vast majority were built to circumvent the Israeli blockade on Gaza after Hamas gained power - which incidentally prevented all exports from Gaza so not entirely sure how they should have got “richer” on planet Eds. This might come as a shock but sometimes there are adverse consequences to Israel’s decisions.

I did see the terrorist attacks on Oct 7 - no matter what Hamas’s motives there is no, and I mean no, justification to attack innocent civilians. A pal of mines kid is missing from it and I’m also of Jewish descent.

None of this makes your post any less of an echo of neo-Zionist propaganda but good to see you doubling down on it. As I say you, and those who think like you, are the problem in this - as are those with similar extremist ideas on the Palestinian side. You’ll not get anywhere with me posting hyperbole.
