1: Why do Hamas not surrender and put an end to this particular round of slaughter?

2: International Law. What's the point if no one has the balls to enforce the law? Without Israel breaking International Law where is the downside for Hamas having an annual mass massacre of Jews? What is the downside for Israel responding with overwhelming force?

As far as point one goes, I think the Israeli regime is playing into the hands of Hamas. Their wreckless, brutal, criminal and inhumane response is turning global support against them. If they end up at war with their neighbours I would think Hamas would see that as a victory of some sorts

I get the impression that Israel have decided that everyone can die including themselves, they don't seem to give a fuck what anyone thinks.

1. Because giving in to terror is not an option.
Noone expects or suggest Israel to give Hamas what it wants as a result of slaughtering Israeli civilians so why do you suggest Hamas to give up as a result of Israeli slaughter/terrorism.
That just encourages more terror/slaughter everytime anyone wants anything.

2. International Law - you can't complain about International law being broken if you are doing it yourself.
The downside for Israel is that it is perpetuating the cycle of terror.

USA is fighting terror and always will be as a liberal democracy, and are well aware that Hamas are not helpful responsibly protecting the people in Gaza, but quite the opposite.

USA is used to use the term 'collateral damage', as awful as it is. They will try to limit civilian casualties but the target is still taking Hamas/terrorists out of the equation to have a fundament for negotiations leading to the peaceful solution we all wish for.

Who on BM wants Hamas to go on controlling life and rules in Gaza?
