If you are a Gazan or a Palestinian then I am afraid you are faced with 3 groups - Hamas, Hezbollah and the IDF. All of them have guns and are happy to see you starve and be killed indiscriminately - how do you as an unarmed civilian child deal with that and free yourself?

Ironic that some of those vehemently decrying attacks on innocent Palestinians are disgustingly cheering this attack on Jews, just for being Jews, who may have all sorts of varying views on what's happening in Gaza & Lebanon. Some of you are utterly abhorrent.

You mustn't have seen the videos of the Israeli fans chanting disgusting songs, tearing down flags etc. Seems there was a violent presence on both sides (and I hate using that term) last night. Doubtless there were peaceful Israeli fans caught up in the crossfire, too

Anti-semitism is clearly on the rise across Europe and the Middle East, but it's not out of hatred for Jews 'just being Jews', it's down to a psychopathic government committing atrocities in the religion's name.

I think anti-semitism is why the Jews moved out of Europe and Russia in the first place! Ironic that the hiding place of Anne Frank a top tourist attraction in Amsterdam.

It's a relentless situation for them and I have sympathy.

Hamas are scum. Ordinary palestinians (i presume) are just normal folk. Albeit persecuted.

But Hamas brought this on them, although it hasn't been great for them for years they really have made it worse. I don't know what the answer is.

Football until recently has always kept free of politics. The nearest it ever got was Remembrance Day. It’s a sad day for football imo. Once it starts it will escalate, the game should be the focus, the football ground should be sacrosanct politics and religion should be left out imo.

Football should be a place where fans can escape from politics. I hate the way various political factions from all sides have tried to hijack our sport. The National Front tried, and failed, in the 1970s and the sectarian bigots at Celtic and Rangers can give any one a run for the money. but most football fans are decent people in my experience. There is no place for political slogans at football events as far as I am concerned.
