Surely if we got Moutinho aswell then wouldn't it mean either he or Ireland dropping to the bench?

I noticed that, sometimes if you piece rumours together over 4 weeks it usually gives you some sort of idea which ones are true.

It's a squad game but if all fit then yea, although Moutinho only seems to be touted on here and doesn't seem a genuine target for the club

Miguel Veloso is a player who without a doubt would improve our squad. Absoloute genius on the ball and his workrate is class.

I have to say, something which is mildly frustrating is that: surely the club, Hughes, Cook, etc had a list of players from around the world who would strengthen the squad he already has...so...as soon as it became apparent that the British based players were going to be over-priced (like, last weekend), then the bids should've started going in for the players o/s...
The only thing which I can guess, based on last summer and the signing of Kompany, is that foreign signings will come out of nowhere as the British press will get nowhere near them...

Now this is more like it. Veloso is one of the best young players in the game today, he is imo a future superstar. He would be a perfect signing, young and talented, and in a position were the team needs a new player.
