Exactly, Dean & Mason have run rough shot in tandem the past few weeks and it's no surprise they've pissed the wrong people off.

The thing is the ‘wrong people’ are probably some adolescent kid being stupid.

going to reach a head at some point. Death threats aren't acceptable but sadly you have folk in society who don't have the capacity to control their emotions and they're fed up of being fucked over. It's an easily solvable problem called reffing properly, with integrity and transparency and ending the bullshit favouring the history clubs with blatant VAR calls. If they don't instigate major cultural changes it will only get worse.

The main thing is, there are no decent ref's coming through the system. I know Mike Dean wanted to retire at the end of last season. But was offered a good fee to continue, for one more season, due to a lack of the required quality ref's.

I agree with you regarding the quality of reds but you realise his refereeing ability doesn’t warrant death threats?

There is never an excuse for death threats or abuse.

It is not justified even if referees favour the Establishment cartel. PGMOL should be disbanded - referees should referee at all levels of professional football as before.

Assaulting a referee at any level needs to be dealt with more firmly.

When the crowds are there it can probably be intimidating for a lot of ref's, experienced or not. But if Riley and his mates were a little more open and honest with us all the ref would not get half the abuse he does.

Why are all refs middle aged, overweight and balding? Surely they could be training up these lads who drop out of academies to keep them in the game? Obviously not all would want to, but surely its a win win to make a pathway for them? Some might even be fit enough to get out of the way of passes

PGmol have the responsibility for the whole game in this country, the performance behaviour, attitude and decision making have a catastrophic impact on every level of the game.
VAR has highlighted shocking inconsistencies with NO explanation, this breeds contempt for the officials and trickles down to every level of the game.
the responsibility for our greater game is getting lost on these egotistical officials and law makers who are making grass roots football increasingly difficult for officials.
What happens at the top flows down and it’s a shambles without doubt
