I was there so definitely not a cabal. The confidentiality is nothing sinister, just that they are trialling the presentation and format and don't want to foul it up for the future when it will be rolled out wider.

Some very good insights though and Mike Riley was very good. By the end of it I almost believed there is no agenda.

Hmmm so us proles take it on trust.. ??

I was there so It defo wasn't the klique! Bill was brill, should try stand up, that being said I think he was for about half of it!
Where were you sat then? Should have said hello. De niro was his usual witty self and should definitely do stand-up.

Sad news is we've been asked to keep the proceedings confidential and we'll abide by that. I think that's a shame as there were some very interesting insights during the evening. He's a very nice guy and was an informative and entertaining presenter. We were able to give some feedback on what annoys us as fans and understand some of the processes and pressures that referees face.

He was still a shit ref though.

Whoops, glad you put that Prestwich Blue because I had to leave before the end. De niro was funny though with his quick quips and Mike Riley took everything in good spirit I felt.

Nice to finally meet you, hope you're feeling better now.

De Niro's stand up routines are definitely a sight to behold:-)

Repeat question...

WHY should you be asked to keep proceedings confidential????

What is it that they have to hide ???

Yes, all very in-crowd but get oeve yourselves......

If there is a sound reason for confidentialty , then explain... most of ius have suufferd om shyte reffing this season so , as paying punters. we are those that pay these twats' wages

stop being so fookinprecious ...

guys I have 10 sides of notes here and was gutted when they asked it to be kept private, there were a few bits and pieces that discussed personal opinion and private reasons that you'd fully understand why it's kept quiet, it's nothing special just the way it goes.

I can't post anything because people would know it's me and I wouldn't get invited back, I'm not prepared to do that because I like to go to these things, find out what's what and as you know I record practically everything and when I'm allowed I post it all up for you guys.

We covered a hell of a lot, for me it definately gave me a lot of confidence in the system and Mike is one of the nicest guys you could ever hope to meet, a far cry from what he's painted out to be. He had a nice chat with me at the end when he didn't have to(not for the first time either) and I definately won't accept him taking any stick, an absolute gent.

Fuck me, get over yourselves.

Why, malg.... what the fook is the point of Riley coming to a club to develop a culture of transparency when the brief is then not to share info

maybe you should get over yourself.... and think it through a bit
Get over yourself. Utter fucking shite. No matter what he has to say, they are still shit scared of Ferguson. I wouldn't give one of those fuckers the time of day. He will spout the same old bullshit of refs not being biased and giving everyone a fair shout, but it's utter fucking crap. Buy into it if you want, but I'd rather spend an evening eating a bowl of warm dog puke.
