Mike Summerbee you are legend

I found it slightly embarrassing but ultimately funny. The "Oh well i don't know much about stats" comment after claiming your dominance was brilliant. He's passionate about his team which is good but his reaction was a bit wild.

It was a good game and i'm surprised so many people on here think city were by far the better team as if they were completely robbed. It was a close game. Sour grapes n'that.

Just watched the match and i must say i felt sorry for Summerbee. He was being patronised to fuck by all the cunts in there but fought his corner well, they were treating him like an eccentric uncle. If you look at the body language of twitcher jnr you could see he was embarrased to be in the same room as him. Was that because Mike knows more than that self serving prick who followed the rag agenda along with the production so perfectly?

Here's my letter:

I am writing to express my complete and utter condemnation of the treatment given to a true English Legend such as Mike Summerbee during your coverage of the Manchester Derby on 12/2/2011.

It seems very obvious to me that every attempt was made to belittle, ridicule and demean every positive comment the former Manchester City winger made, by his fellow pundits Redknapp and Yorke and of the main presenter.

The most telling was their attempt to portray Mr Summerbee as someone who was not in complete possession of the facts of the game by revealing the stats which showed Man Utd had a 54%-46% possession advantage over Manchester City.

However the TRUE faces as stated on your OWN website and various other websites shows that Mr Summerbee was actually correct in his assumption that Manchester City possessed a greater period of possession (51%-49% in favour of Manchester City)

I would like to know whether or not it is the general practice of Sky Sports football coverage to present inaccurate facts and to demean past legends of the game just so you can present a positive and superior image of Man Utd over Manchester City.

I also noticed the bias concerning Mr Tyler in his commentary, went beyond the realms of the acceptible and a blatant example of a lack of impartiality.

For someone like myself who has subscribed to Sky Sports for 7 years, i have noticed this trend for a while but it is only after today that it has become glaringly obvious that, for a self confessed impartial sports broadcaster, today's events and spiteful, playground demeaning of Mr Summerbee leads me and indeed others, to believe this is anything but the case for Sky Sports, and as a result i am seriously considering my subscription as a viewer, i don't expect to see a one-sided viewpoint from the presenters and indeed the network for such high profile games such as this.

I expect at least a reply from someone at Sky Sports to explain why the programme had an obvious bias towards Man Utd and the dispicable attempt of demeaning a long serving former English footballer using inaccurate or misinterpreted statistics which have since shown Mr Summerbee's comments to be wholly accurate in their delivery.

Fella, they're printing this letter on T-shirts over at rag cafe. Leave it alone now, the games over. Have some dignity and man up.

Who gives a fuck!

it just makes me laugh to read all these posts about Sky being Rag, which it obviously is and all these Blues on here moaning about it, week in, week out! The answer is simples!...........dont subscribe! If the majority of City fans that give it out on here every week sent it packing, surely it would hit them in their red lined pockets. If i dont/cant get to watch City, i listen to it on radio! So if you dont like what's going on there with their red love-in, why buy into it with your hard-earned money?

Oh and well done Mr Summerbee! i thought you were brilliant yesterday! Legend! (Watched it on a thread on here, not on Sky!)

His reaction was'nt that wild, anyone watching that game would have easilly believed City had at the least level ball time, Sky found some figures very speedily to suggest Summerbee was incorrect and later produced two sets of further figures to suggest they might well have been incorrect and Summerbee may well have been closer to the mark. Little wonder he said i don't know much about them stats..he must have thought he was being fitted-up. What he was correct about was they know we're coming.

They lied & they lied about the shots at goals stats.
It will be a long time before these shower of cunts invite a player of ours that takes no shit on.

The unfortunate thing is that Richard Keys wasn't there to be on the end of Buzzer's ire...

Thought he was a credit to our club with what he said yesterday. Absolutely spot on. I was sat in a room full of rags, who all rather than snigger applauded him for pointing out just how one sided the "analysis" of the match was.

The smart rags know they got away with it yesterday.

I thought he was brilliant yesterday, he's the club ambassador because he's passionate and he sought to bring balance to an otherwise very one-sided discussion. In the same way, i didn't find Garry Cook's press conference introducing Mancini embarrassing at all because being nice and diplomatic all the time only gets you so far.
