Sadly, it looks inevitable that Leroy will swap East Manchester for Bavaria. I have checked out a few Oyarzabal highlights on Youtube and he looks decent. However, the left-sided player that impresses me every time I see him is 19 year old Dwight McNeil of Burnley.

Neither Bernardo or Mahrez are particularly quick so I’m not sure where this “no pace” argument is coming from.

And Mahrez in my opinion has under whelmed on the wing, not because of lack of ability but lack of pace.

If Mahrez had any sort of pace he would be a frightening player.

Maddison is obviously quality but I don't think this would work out for two reasons. First he would be another player in an area we're already quite well covered and like others have said might hinder the progress of players like Foden. Second he'll be chased by Liverpool and United for sure this summer, most likely meaning the price goes even higher than Sancho's is likely to be

I like eLroy, I saw some improvement in his attitude over the course of last year but the last thing I want is a sad sack player who reverts to whining and dragging arse on the field when it's not going his way.

The club don't often get transfers wrong and as such i am happy to go with whoever they identify as a replacement.

Sammy Lee confirms this morning that Oyarzabal is under "firm consideration" and that the player is expecting the move. I don't know if it's the lack of pace or something else, but something about this make it feel like the least exciting transfer in some time.

My biggest problem with this is that he doesn't possess much speed. We'd be losing our only fast winger for a guy who's in the similar mode to how Mahrez plays.

If you're going back to 16/17 you can definitely throw Bravo and Nolito on that pile as well

Yeah our CB purchasing has been dire on the whole considering the cash spent on the position.
