Maybe could be a problem he had earlier in his career, because it's not something I notice when I watch Inter.

Here's a picture of the Inter squad by the way, and he looks just as tall as Lukaku, if not taller. And Lukaku is listed at 1,91

I definitely prefer the 3ATB over the 433 this season. I've felt that we can become a bit too stale and predictable when we've played 433 for a while now. We really lack directness in that formation, and seem to play too safe. But for example Bernardo has really shined when played in central midfield in a 3421.

In a 433 KDB and David occupy the 8 positions which means that Bernardo plays RW. Bernardo's workrate and vision is a bit wasted at RW. He has shown both last season and this season that he excels central in the field with his ball retention and creativity. We also have Mahrez in great form and he should be nailed at RW now.

I really like us in a 4231 though, with KDB high up the pitch and Bernardo deep in midfield with his energy. Our lineup against Leicester in the 3-0 victory is probably my favourite. Now replace Otamendi with Laporte and Jesus with Aguero and it would be perfect.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but what I think Pep has a preference for. When you play a 4231 and have 1 playmaker, although you have a more solid midfield, it's easier for the opposition to mark the #10 with their DM. Having 2 creates more problems for the opposition with overloads on both side. The width of the wingers create space for them in the middle as well.

Going 3 at the back means more crosses from the wingbacks and being direct like you said, but we don't have a big striker in the middle. You can play 3-5-2, but that means 1 of your wingers will have to go in Mahrez or Sterling (although he's out of form). I don't think Pep would play a 3-4-3 because he likes to have control of the midfield. Usually he's had KDB drop deeper in a double pivot where you'd want him further up the pitch.

Again this is by going what I feel Pep believes and with a fully fit back line I do think these are some of the reasons he likes the 4-3-3. But this is the Skriniar thread so apologies.

Haha no need to apologise, I agree with you. When we've played the 343 it's more like a 3421 with Foden/Jesus and Mahrez as inside forwards/Cams. But I personally think the 433 is dead, our opponents has figured that one out. Just park the bus and counter us.

Why in the world would we want to get rid of Cancelo?
The real question is whether Cancelo wants to stay here? Beyond that, I think we lack much more CB than another right back. But that won't happen anyway

Weird one but could be true. Saw him live about a year ago and his presence really stands out on the pitch. He's absolutely massive. Google says 1,87m but he looked a lot taller, maybe 1,90m something
3cm makes a hell of a difference, so I've been told.

If he wants to leave that's one thing, though I think the grumbling is more about his concern over missing the Euros than an actual desire to leave the club. But absent that you don't actually have to choose between a right back and a centerback, you just pay money for a centerback.
