Millner vs. Ireland - alternative thread

Ireland had one good season, this doesn't make him a world beater! I will not really mind if we lost him as long as we do get Milner who for me will provide a hell of a lot more consistency

If he let's Ireland leave then for me Mancini is an idiot (and I wouldn't care if he was sacked).
Ireland had been on an upward curve until he feinted at Fulham, that set him back for the rest of the season.
At 23 he deserves the chance to prove his ability this season.
This is why we've won nothing for 34 years, we need to get behind our manager and back him 100% in one of the most important periods in the club's history.

Lets add Vieira to this...........would you be happy with Vieira in 25 man squad and Ireland out?

-- Sun Aug 08, 2010 1:33 pm --

Like backing Hughes you mean? Don't get me started down this line.

There is no connection between Vieira staying and Ireland going.

since dunnie has left us (shown the door) he got villas player of the season award. I hope stevie doesn't do similar. He could bite us on the arse as he has the ability at times...I doubt it though!

but we finished ahead of villa and took 4pts off them

"Richard Dunne puts the ball in the back of the net and City go 1-0 down. Is it last season?"

Tweet that I read after Villa Away!

Ireland at his very best is better than Milner but we don't see Ireland's best enough. Anywhere near enough. If he needs a change of scenery to get going again then c'est la vie. I'll be disappointed to see him leave because he's one of ours - but I was disappointed to see Elano leave too. No Player is bigger than the Club.

Milner is more likely to do a job for us next season.

So you were upset with a percieved lack of support for Hughes, yet you see fit to hurl abuse at our current maneger?

The double standards around here are quite amazing.

Ireland leaving is pretty much inevitable now IMO...Milner will be an excellent acquisition for us. The two are different players and the signing of one shouldn't lead to the other leaving, especially when Viera can still get a squad number. Seems a laughable decision by Mancini, but fuck it, it's done. We'll all get over it...
