You may find it ridiculous, but i don't mean to be unkind to milner. He is like Vas, in that he gives everything, but he has more ability, he certainly isn't a great player. Not a creative player, doesn't have a particular flair with passing or in his general ability. His game is based on his work ethic and attacking nature.
Gerrard is a world class midfielder and reads the game far better than milner, something you can't coach.

i agree in parts about milner...he isnt a flair player he is just a work horse but thats the sort of player it seems a lot of fans want to see.....at city a lot of fans would rather have dickov than robinho or a goater than an ade....we all know who the tecnically better players are and in the end the ones that will win you something.....what we actually need is a blend of both int he team.....we have the work horses in bellamy, tevez but we need to add crerativity and flair...we only have a couple of those types of player at present and they are the likes of ireland, swp and johnson.....
Milner for me isnt the player we need...he has been converted from an average winger to a work horse in the middle of the park but he is nowhere near as good as gerrard was at the top of his game...milner wont reach those heights ever in my opinion

Why does it have to be work-horse or flair player, i think most fans want to see a flair player who also puts a fair shift in to help the team not your usual flair player who's a lazy cnut like Robinho.
