I think he will be a good signing for us, in the midfield we have a lot of players that have skill (AJ, Silva, SWP) and a lot of players that have toughness (NDJ, Barry, Zab, Vieira) but not many that have a combo of both. Milner does. And I say that not as the biggest of James Milner fans.

Versatility is the key I believe our manager wants a midfield that is comfortable playing anywhere whether left, right, centre attacking, or defensive, it means that we will always keep our shape even if players are out of their favoured positions. Must admit wasn't his greatest fan but you have to take your hat of to the lad played a blinder for Villa last year and if we can get him either cash or part ex he will improve our team and for me that is good enough.

Bloody hell! I dont know why u all want that Milner so badly? Dudes, he just have had one good season, at THE MIDDLE, where we got yaya toure, Vieira, barry, de jong and possibly Kompany. Why would we want waste 30 mln to "test" him how he will do on wing? Silva & Bellamy and Johnson is ok atm, we can buy some classy typical winger if needed.





EDIT: Forgot to add, Id like better Eden Hazard or even Marko Marin than Milner, both would be cheaper, or atleast Hazard wud be!

i've been around enough to form an opinion on certain players, rooney is one of the best players in the world, but hasnt delivered, Milner is a solid all round player nothing more nothing less. you do not need fancy players in every position.
