di Maria's just gone for 20m which really does make a mockery of Aston Villa's valuation of Milner.

I hope we get the right value this time

Lescott 24 M , comparing to 8 M for Lucio , 15 Million for Sneider and 25 Million for Arjen Robben

if true about the milner deal then good city's top people have found there balls!

milner would be good for the squad but not at £28 million.

its interesting that the Dzeko deal is heating up again in a lot of reports.
I wish these tin pot paper's would stop quoting the price for Toure at £28m, it's 28m Euro's which is about £25m. Also can't see us spending £36m for Dzeko.
Maybe they meant to put the all the prices in Euros, £28 mill = about €25 mill for Yaya T, £30 mill = about €26/27 mill for Silva, and €36 mill for Dzeko should work out at about £31 mill, wich is more reasonable...

im lead to believe by some on here that imscouting is quite reliable..

What he costs is irrelevant. We are on a fast track to champs league. With Milner we will have a stronger squad and be more likely to challenge for title and win a cup. We are in 3 cups next season and will play a lot of games. The strength of our bench will be the difference between success and failiure. If we get in champs league and win a cup he will be worth whatever we payed.

I'm still split over Milner, he's obviously nowhere near worth the price we'd have to pay, he would provide energy in the middle of the pitch, which we lack, and versatility, which is always useful, he's English, which is a bonus, and young, which is a bonus.

I just don't think he's that good a footballer...

He's alright, his workrate maybe makes up for some of his technical deficiency, but he just looks laboured to me, not really comfortable on the ball.

completely agree with this, i like him, but im not sure hes better than who we have and who we are currently trying to get in. Anything about £20m is just crazy, there are much better than him for less.

You could have just posted the first two words and saved yourself the bother of typing the rest.

you can actually post whatever sum of millions you want, who after all is worth what anyone pays? look at that shower of shite thats just flown home, shrek? they were talking about 50/ 60 million? now you just know chairmen around the world are saying f*** that and sticking the cheque books in the back pocket..im thinking about being in 3 cups next season as someone has said already,we going to need depth

I like the way that we don't appear to have raised our initial bid - I'm sure Villa thought they could get us to pay more even though we have already offered them a good deal. I don't suppose his World Cup form has inflated his price. I'm personally not bothered if we get him.
