Re: Milner on verge of joining City for £28 Million

I don't care how much he costs, the good shiek will write off again anyway. He's a cracking player, get him signed and move on to the next one.

Mancini said that Ireland needed to sort his head out, pissing off home before the game because he was home sick is what I heard. No doubt he has talent but I don't think his heart is set as a full time pro footballer otherwise he would have returned to the Ireland squad by now. Milner is pro through and through. The price we pay may be more than we beieve his true worth is but Mancini and the club feel they are getting value for money and for me that is all that needs to be said. Milner is a cracking player and if someone a couple of years back had said that we would have three England Midfield internationals in our squad with the prospect of more to come I would have labelled you all as mad as a box of frogs. Lets wait and see but I have a feeling things are going to get better and better before the summer is out.

What the hell is wrong with you people, whats the point of having money if you dont spend it, its not my money & i dont care what we pay. We all now were paying over the odds but remember one thing, with Platini`s rules coming into force soon we cannot wait,we are in an rush to get to the top & all the other clubs know it too. Stop apologising for being loaded ffs.
Its like winnning £10m on the lottery & just buying a new carpet for your house,STOP IT.

Re: Milner on verge of joining City for £28 Million

He's a very good player with the right mentality and is improving.

28 million pounds is a lot of money but I am pleased we are not giving it to Spurs or Everton (again) as I believe that money in their respective manager's hands would improve them both no end. Whereas for some reason I don't think Villa would improve as much with the extra finance, just a gut feeling.

I think the majority would be delighted with this signing if Silva signed first, we all want a creative player don't we?

Milner is a very good player and I personally hope he signs.

£28,000,000?

Madness.

Much rather we kept hold of Ireland than push him out for a player like Milner.

2 completely different players. Who would give us more in the formation we play? 1 Winner and thats Milner
Two completely different players indeed.

Ireland's younger, more mobile, has much more technical ability and should he reach his potential...

Will be at least twice the player Milner will ever be.

The only thing Milner's got on Ireland is that he's English and "always gives 100%".

Which is quite a bit to ask for at £28 million.

If Milner's worth even two thirds of that then my dick's a kipper!
the lad's only 24, if we get 6 seasons out of him then it's only gonna cost us just short of 6mill a season.....and he has plenty of potential still and in the process further weakens a fairly stable villa side for the second season in a row. also the 28mill being flung about could be a final figure with add on clause and such like, i'm sure we know what we're doing and in my eyes a city team with milner in it is an improvement from last season.

Give Villa £28m to spend and I reckon it can only strengthen them.

Milner had a good season but he's not worth half that price.
