Milner wants out?

Better to lose Milner on a free than accept a measly £10m to strengthen a rival, IMO. If someone offers closer to £20m, then maybe.

The homegrown quota hasn't bothered me much as we don't use an awful lot of players anyway, so a 20-21 man squad + couple of U21s would be OK, but losing Milner hurts the depth of the squad.

If we could replace him with Fabregas who can play a number of positions across the midfield area I think that would represent an improvement for us ....

Arsene sold us Nasri for 24m Pound with Nasri has only 1 year in his contract.

Milner is not as good as Nasri but he is English.

I hope this is just press conjecture because we would really miss Milners work rate in the team and how he can play in a number of positions with ease , and for me a really under used player this season

Sorry for my ignorance people but nothing to see here.MIlner is a huge (not massive) part of our squad, and will be for the foreseeable future.
#going nowhere :-)

What good english talent there is out there, costs a bomb, is in limited supply and we now have FFP restrictions. Fucking Dyke, expecting football clubs (businesses) to sort out your problems for you big fat dyke.

we should be looking at young talent who we can make into class players. Patrick roberts at fulham for me would be fantastic, then there are the ones mentioned barkley, shaw stones, but tbh i can't see any english players wanting to come to us, we will only have Joe hart in the whole starting squad.

it looks like he's just bothered about playing now and you can't blame him.

Agreed. Rightly or wrongly there could be a perception problem when it comes to British players and City. Barry was moved on. Lescott is on his way out. Richards wants out/feels obliged to leave (take your pick). Rodwell has gone precisely no where this season which for me is a shame. Yes injuries have played there part but when you have Hart and co chanting 'we are the quota' it isn't hard to figure out there may be a problem when it comes to the British players, their development (or lack of it) and perhaps there own feeling that they are being marginalised within the group.

Mlner going would be very disappointing but it wouldn't be a shock to be honest.
