top 6 along with Carling Cup win'

Would buy Tevez £32mil
Toure £10mil
Ribery £35mil
Etoo £35mil auction pushed price over £100mil bar but hey our owners wouldnt scrimp

Spent £112mil

Team

Given
Zableta-----Toure-----Kompany (Cpt)------Bridge
Swp------Ireland-----De Jong------Ribery------

any 2 ETOO - TEVEZ - Robinho ---Bojinov

Subs would be 2 strikers not chosen
Elano
Petrov
Nedum
Richards
Hart

What do you reckon - possible

That would be a pretty fearsome team but I do think that Drogba is more likely to come here than Eto'o. I would also be majorly surprised if we didn't have another left back because at the moment we have no adequate cover/competition for bridge.

I would say Sturridge was a lot better player than Evans

I don't think anyone would deny that for a second... but he isn't going to sign a new contract, simple as. If he was going to sign he'd have done it by now. Let him go to Aston Villa or whoever and sit on a bench for the next few years whilst we mount a credible assault on the top.

Drogba £15m
yaya Toure £25m
Iniesta £35m
RSC £18m

--------------Given--------------
Richards---Kompany(cap)---Onouha---Bridge

--------yaya toure---De Jong---------

SWP-------Iniesta/Ireland------Robinho

-----------Drogba/ RSC--------------- subs. Hart---Zabaleta---Dunne----Johnson---Elano---Petrov---Bojinov

Im not sure if hughes would change to a 4-4-2 if he had the personnel to do so but with the current formation and these set of players we would have a great squad to compete easily for top 6 in my eyes.

Goog team... agree with you about 4-4-2 being unlikely, I think 4-4-1-1 is certainly possible though. I would imagine we'd play 4-4-1-1 at home and maybe against weaker teams and your formation away.

Wouldn't buy RSC though... one season wonder imho and I think Hughes has realised he can get better players with a summer window. Think that ship has sailed thank god.

take the value of stretford squad minus the value of our squad The answer is what we need to spend . The brazil team would do me

Avoid relegation.

Maybe get past the first game of the Cups.

Spend another £150m.

Next Season. Minimum Expectations.

As its looking ever more increasingly likely that Hughes will still be in charge what are the minimum expectations we all have?

For me I want no more excuses from Hughes. No more, my team will be fitter in the second half of games and the season... and then go onto to look like Ric Waller on Celebrity fat club and pull out the excuse of a longer season has cost us. -11 points is what we stand on based on gaining and losing points in the final 30 minutes of games! So much for the fitness and concentration levels. A team that can concentrate for 90 minutes would be a start.

No more, i deserve the same credit as twitcher et all! What for being 16 points ahead of Spurs when he took over and now standing 4 points below them, now impossible to finish above them?

I want to see evidence that he can manage more than one type of "run through brick wall" players. and 3 defensive midfielders at home!

I dont want to hear about his plight of budget restrictions either.

Thats what I expect of the manager.

We wont have a long season next year thanks to no europe. For me if he stays in charge. An absolute minimum of 6th place and a cup semi final. I want to see us turn up away from home and show some of our 'high fitness levels and compassion.'

Judging by the potential limitless funds he will have if he shows ambition, i would genuinely expect us to scare Arsenal and win a trophy.

Over to you lot.
