Misheard rock lyrics (that you think are better than the original)

Paul Simon,Graceland.
"The way she brushed her hair from her forehead"

Comes out;
"The way she brushed her hair and farted".

My missus used to think Van Halen's Panama was called 'Cannonball', shes never lived down the night she found out otherwise as half the pub were wetting themselves with laughter after it came on the jukebox.

She genuinely thought it was about a party where everyone was cannonballing into a swimming pool. Even the bit with the revving motorcycle didn't give her a clue...

Standing on the edge of the noise
Sounded better as standing on the head of Dave Moyes when he was the scum manager

Jimi Hendrix's Purple Haze includes the line ''Scuse me while I kiss the sky" which was often misheard as "Scuse me while I kiss this guy".

The Beach Boys' Barbara Ann includes the line "Went to a dance, looking for romance..." often misheard as "Went to a dance, loking for a man..."

I can understand the first mishearing. We used to joke about it as a possibility. But if you were at all tuned into psychedelia, and all that went with it, you knew that it was about kissing the sky.
The second — I simply don't understand how anyone could mishear it in good faith. The whole rest of the song, and above all the title, makes it clear that the singer's as hetero as they come.

The vocals swallow the end of the word romance. Hence the mishearing that became something of a joke (like Purple Haze) although I doubt anybody seriously thought it was correct.

Look at those gay men go.
I just googled the lyrics, I'd've bet money on gay men, but no way, it's cave men.. and I always thought it was take a look at the wrong man, beating up the wrong guy too - I thought it was a case of mistaken identity and some poor bloke was getting beaten up by guy who thought he was someone else
