Missed out on a ticket for the derby?

Laughable!...That's the whole point of supporters clubs...Organised groups! Think you need to do a little more research about this than making yourself look an idiot posting comments like this.
Do you expect each member of the supporters club branch to go down individually and collect tickets?
That's why we pay membership fees and vote in membership secretaries to do all the running about :0)
Our branch pro actively goes out and sells tickets to floating fans when the ticket office rings up the sec and asks him to do so..otherwise the club pays for the empty seats.
Derby day is different of course...but it happens for other big games believe me.
We also pay loads out for dinners such as this fridays Neil Young fundraiser.
We also raised over 3k for Paul Lakes Jumpspace charity last year for example...loads of these events take place every year raising thousands for disabled groups or youth teams at City.
Don't get me started on the loyalty point argument...my son will NEVER catch me up..so have to leave him at home a lot of games...Not a great way to bring thru the next generation of fans tbh...but I get on with it..although suggest improvements at meetings wherever possible, you should attend one and try it if you fel that strongly about it.

So what's the OSC going to do? Ban that branch or the secretary of that branch from applying for anymore derby tickets. Do me a favour. One way or another it will get sorted out or swept under the carpet. The secretary's who run the OSC's are a little clique. Tickets for the boys.

Put it this way. When you can pre order 10 or more derby tickets and pick them up, while people in the same queue have been told the tickets are sold out, you realise what you're up against.

And yes, I was in that queue and saw a Secretary walk out with a hand full of tickets, that had been pre-ordered.

Can I and other non-members do that? No.

Get to f***! The system stinks. End of.

Your missing the point.

I couldn't give a shit if the branch secretary does all the running about etc. I want a level playing field, where I can pre-order my derby ticket in advance as well.(same loyalty points) I'm not arsed about picking it up. Nothing would give me greater satisfaction You just stay in bed.

The branch get told how many they can have...then the sec tells us how many and what the points criteria is...he then pays club and we pay the sec....it's a block booking, same as if a family of 4 wanted to go, paid and then the Dad picked them up!

It's pre-ordering. Dress it up how you want. What is it? 5,6,7 weeks in advance? Non-members like me have to wait until the day and take our chances. We don't have the luxury of knowing our tickets are waiting for us under the counter. Even if they are being picked up by the Secretary. (arf!)

If it's good enough for branch members, why isn't it good enough for non-branch members? Exactly.

And who's to say any of those branch members have more loayalty points than people who are forced to queue up on the day, when the points criteria goes under the stated amount.

Clearly there are vested interests trying to protect vested interests.

My son will never get a ticket because he's so far behind me in loyalty points' so start up a branch and your son will always get a ticket - that"s how it works.

Now in some respects I'm not knocking it and the secretary's of branches do a great job fundraising and generating interest in the blues in the local area and plus there is nothing stopping anyone starting up a branch or joining one.

However, any idea that everyone in a branch has to have the correct points to attend is nonsense.

As I say at least 20 from my own branch attending who no way have enough points. Personally the way the club got this wrong is that they set aside far too large an allocation for supporters clubs leaving many loyal loyal blues unable to get a ticket and many many JCL's attending through a supporters club - and just watch the atmosphere in the away end affected as a result.

The club need to think this through much more carefully when they allocate supporters clubs next year imo

MCFC hospitality is selling tickets for £192 as long as you have another £150 to purchase another game. Its ticketing touting at its worst. Report that to the club or the OSC CIA FBI it happens every year and no fucker does anything. I know a guy who is taking his son and his 2 mates for his birthday none of them have ever been to an away match they arent season ticket holders and 1 supports Liverpool.

Same old year after year if you got the money you can get in I would like to know how many tickets out of the 3,000 go to supporters via the points system I reckon its less then 2,000

Applause.

I can see the benefits and flaws of ticket distribution through supporters clubs but why was this not brought up when the club ordered 4000 tickets and only 2700 went to Birmingham at half the price of a derby ticket and on general sale for a week?

Have you reported it to the supporters club hierachy ? or the club ? If not, why not ?

My advice is get together, and vote out at the next AGM, those who abuse the system.

I've been a member of a supporters club that tried to offer their ticket allocation in a ballot of all the members (including a number who never went home or away), and tried to take tickets off members who had legitimately gained the points. We demanded an extraordinary meeting to discuss it, a vote was taken, they lost the vote, and in the end we got the tickets we deserved for the points we had.

We subsequently all left that branch, and they were left with members who in general would never qualify for a ticket.

The moral of that is stop moaning on here about it, and do something to right the situation, if you don't like the way the tickets are allocated via the supporters club, moaning on here will achieve f**k all, giving details to the club/supporters club will, (assuming the stories are true, and you have proof, and that these tales are not just to stir things up).
