Missed out on a ticket for the derby?

Supporters clubs apply at least 7 weeks in advance of the actual game and well before anything is known about the number of points that may be required and tickets are allocated to the supporters club before the tickets go on official sale so any idea that points come into the equation is a fallacy. How can the club allocate tickets to SC's when they don't know how many points will ultimately be required? Because they don't have to - its irrelevant. The club allocate a number of tickets to each SC its then up to that SC how they allocate them. However, the attendee must be a member. It couldn't work any other way, otherwise they would have to release tickets to each SC in dribs and drabs as points are met - an administrative nightmare

In fact many of the members applying at my club are city card holders and I dare say a number of those who are going to OT

If that weren't the case what is the advantage of applying through a Supporters club? If anything its worse because you have to make your mind up about going sometimes before you know the definite date of the match. I call up for my own tickets and it takes less than 2 mins for me to get a ticket so this idea that the branch is more convenient is nonsense because somehow you have to get your money to the secretary anyway.

The advantage of being in a SC is that if you are on low points you are more likely to get a ticket for the big games.

so it's no-incidence that from all the supporters clubs, they just seem to ALL have shit loads of points?

even the 14 year olds? how do they top a male/female who's been going since maine road?

As I say at least 20 from my own branch attending who no way have enough points.
Have you reported it to the supporters club hierachy ? or the club ? If not, why not ?

My advice is get together, and vote out at the next AGM, those who abuse the system.

I've been a member of a supporters club that tried to offer their ticket allocation in a ballot of all the members (including a number who never went home or away), and tried to take tickets off members who had legitimately gained the points. We demanded an extraordinary meeting to discuss it, a vote was taken, they lost the vote, and in the end we got the tickets we deserved for the points we had.

We subsequently all left that branch, and they were left with members who in general would never qualify for a ticket.

The moral of that is stop moaning on here about it, and do something to right the situation, if you don't like the way the tickets are allocated via the supporters club, moaning on here will achieve f**k all, giving details to the club/supporters club will, (assuming the stories are true, and you have proof, and that these tales are not just to stir things up).

I'm sorry Cleavers 20 is a guess but I know for a fact that if I didn't have enough points then 90 percent of those in my branch wouldn't have qualified so how do you explain over 35 tickets being allocated to our branch? There is never in a million years 35 people in our branch with over 5250 points. FACT.

So any idea of tickets being tied to points in the SC's is nonsense. I'm not going to report anything I class many of these people as friends. its not there fault they're using the system to their best advantage but the club need to look at it because there is a lot of loyal blues who have missed out to JCL's

Well since I don't know you, where you are from, or what branch you are a member of, I can't answer you.

However that one word I highlighted suggests you can prove it, therefore complain to the club, or KP at the supporters club, and get it sorted out. If you don't then we can only assume its either not FACT, or you actually aren't really bothered.

I'm not posting in here again, if there is such a big problem, get in touch with KP, or the ticket office manager, and get your views known, and back it up with the facts you know. Its simple enough.

Instead of moaning join a supporters club?

A lot of people in this thread are arguing something they know fuck all about.

Club should regulate it. OSC should put forward the names and points of applicable members who qualify and they should get 1 ticket.
They do.

Why continue with the pretence? How can it be based on points when they allocate the tickets before they have sold out? The club can't possibly know at that stage how many points will be required for that particular fixture.

The reality is they let you know how many tickets you've got you then give the names and supporters club no's and supporter no's of those who have applied. If you have had more apply then you've been allocated tickets you decide who gets tickets and who doesn't, absolutely nothing to do with points.
