It seems a lot of our Season Ticket holders will not shell out the £40-£50 for these sort of cup games.

Thats why people should appreciate the hardcore 1500 blues who travel up and down the country to away games shelling this kind of money out every other week.

Alot of people who just buy their season ticket would be shocked at how much it actually costs to go week in, week out.

What I think people do is buy a ticket. But then instantly try to sell it on Viagogo for the highest profit. This is how tourists are able to get tickets. Some genuine City fans would love to be at a match like that, but because they can't afford season tickets they're not able to get tickets.

im a season card holder but simply couldnt afford last night i'm £30 in the fuel tank on top of ticket cost so on a £45 ticket i'm on £75 before any grub or a drink,i think there are loads like me living away from manchester now who have sacked euro nights off along with fa and lge cup

Try getting a ticket for tonight on a "Blue" membership - season ticket "holders" who go three times a year and put their seats on Viagogo for the rest to sell to highest bidder.

You keep saying this but you can only use Viagogo a max of six times a season.

100% this, the "true" City fans had ample opportunity to get tickets, if they couldn't be arsed it's better that someone buys the ticket and helps with the FFP.

exactly what i was going to say.

the game took about 3 weeks of open sale before selling out, so would those complaining prefer the "tourists" to be replaced with empty seats...?
i can understand concern for in demand games where local blues may struggle to get a ticket because of so-called tourist fans but this was not one of them, be grateful they are filling unwanted seats and making games a sell-out that otherwise might not have been.
