The guy who searched the river says if he'd have known at the time she had alcohol issues, he'd have done a completely different type of search. As it was, he only search as if she'd slipped
Fairly sure his equipment wouldn’t have a “fell in the river” mode that operates differently to the “jumped in the river” mode. He’s clearly made a mug of himself with his categorical assurances and is trying to make up excuses.
 
Riverbanks are not flush, and bodies of water are not empty under the waterline…

She went in the water when it was engorged due to heavy rain, and the water would’ve been filled with debris washed in.

Her body will have simply gotten caught in a void, or tangled in debris, only becoming visible now that the waters have receded.

It’s no secret that bodies pop up every year around bodies of water in late winter/early spring.

The River level wasnt engorged as it was relatively dry the week before, the waters have actually raised a fair bit in the last few days if anything so great post but not right unfortunately.
