So Burley and Sky reporting from the scene on yesterday's programme seem too have erased the story from history now.
I don’t know if it’s been said but I think many (including the police) were assuming that after the last sighting of Nicola by the dog walker, she made her way over to the bench, where she left the phone and harness before entering the river. I’d say it’s just as likely that she left the phone on the bench, before walking to the area where she was last sighted and entered the river there. Just a minor error in sequencing that would explain where the body was found and why the police were originally searching in the wrong area. Easy to be wise after the event.
Hopefully, in time, Nicola’s family can come to terms with her loss and move on.
In that case wouldn't the dog have followed her to that spot? The dog was found back near the bench where the phone & harness were and (I think) first reports said it kept going from the bench to the water's edge, perhaps showing where she had gone in.
As I’m reminded every Matchday thread!Human nature doesn’t change.
That's where Dawson nicked it from, he used a lot of Norman Evans material.Reminds me of the sketches with Les Dawson and Roy Barraclough .
I think Peter Faulding’s observation that the body would likely stay in, or return to a similar position, is probably correct. Is the river tidal in the place she was found? In any case, it could have been snagged on the undergrowth there, so maybe didn’t move much at all. Also, if she'd gone in at the area of her last sighting in the stretch of river surrounding the upper field, that part of the river is a few hundred yards further upstream than the bench. Her body would have had to be passing through the area of river near the bench, as they were searching it. I don't think your wrong that she entered a different part of the river but I believe she went back through the gate, past the bridge and weir and went in the river somewhere around there.

GMB didnt even mention her body had been identified or the police statement today , not even in other news bit , scumbagsWonder if Sky News knew what was in that statement prior to it being read it. They've come out of this fuckin badly.
