Some of us haven't given up on the other NY team ;-)Yankees power-bats, that they pay a shit-ton of money for, come through for them in the end. Outside of that Soto-Judge-Stanton axis, they are bang-average. I hope the Dodgers crush them.

Mets had chances. Had tons of runners on base all night and left the bases loaded twice. Manaea has been magnificent but he picked the wrong time to lay an egg!!
Still the bullpen wasn’t much better.
Had a much better season than anticipated.
Teams tend to have quite a few players that are out of contract or have “options” to leave. Manaea is one of them who can opt for free agency. He will and get a lot of money. Alonso is out of contract and has a total prick of an agent. He is 30 and I would not give him more than 6 years-doubt his agent would ever go for that.

Never anticipated getting to the NLCS this year so I can't be too upset. Mendoza's bullpen management wasn't great, but at the end of the day he's the one who brought this team together and they overperformed the talent on the roster. The Dodgers are just stacked offensively and I hope Ohtani hits a ball into the LI Sound to beat the Yankees next week.

MLB got their wet-dream World Series. It won’t be one for the purists, neither team has much good pitching and it will be more like a home-run derby. Be good for ratings, highlight reels and social media posts though.

Well if you look at Citifield that’s pretty much an ode to Ebbets Field. The previous owner, Fred Wilpon , grew up a Brooklyn Dodger fan..Need to bin the Left Coast off and rebuild a new Ebbets back in the heart of Flatbush ;-)

Not that I have any love for the Yankees, but if it were United vs the Dogs I’d need to have a think.
Yesterday we held a memorial service for one of my best friends — a lifelong diehard Giants fan — on a boat in McCovey Cove. We threw 24 orange flowers in the water because his favorite player was Willie Mays (who wore 24 of course).
This strike zone better improve though — some bad calls already and it’s only the top of the first.

Watched the first few innings but will have to turn in so I am match ffit or City tomorrow .
Interestibg so far,, can tell they are really talented, seems to be a lot more hits than normal, I sometimes wonder if baseball is too in favour of the pitchers because it can go hours with nothing much happening but looks good so far.
