Could probably fill it now depending on the venue but the atmosphere wouldn’t be as good.Venue is decided by which team finishes higher in the supports shield.

I think the main reason is MLS is trying to build rabid local fan bases like other nations have. So the final atmosphere is always going to be more exciting if a side is at home than if it were somewhere neutral just given travel distances here. To be fair, Portland have one of the league’s best fan bases.
I hate the drums MLS fans have though.
