7th year in a row they have made the play-offs, 6th time in the Conference semis.

Remember this is only the clubs 8th year in existence (well 9.5 but 8 seasons in the MLS). Very impressive.

New York now rwo games away from being back-to-back champions in the USA. Given the way the sport is booming over there that would be a major achievement (without their own stadium). It would also be a hell of a statement for City Football Group to have double back-to-back champions in England and the US simultaneously. It would not do any harm for our joint sponsorship income moving forward either. It makes that Etihad deal look even better value (for Etihad) these days. It's a tough time for all the City-haters.
