I think you're ok in most EU countries if you have the money. A variety of visa options in Spain, Italy, Greece etc.
Yep pretty certain you are in most southern European countries, may well have been easier while part of EU some would have you believe UK citizens have to walk round ringing a bell but the truth is somewhat different. It’s possible to pick up property at very reasonable rates in Spain now if you’re interested in living there. I know two who’ve bought recently at bargain prices compared to here and intend at some stage in life to part reside there.

Nobody has to walk around ringing a bell. They do have to fit all criteria that allows them to stay longer than 90 days at a time.
You can still buy property no problem. You can obtain an NIE that allows you to do so and if it’s only to be here part of the year then there’s no issues.
The thousands who have had to leave since brexit tells a different story than the one you seem to think is happening.

Ha ha, the old NIE....when we moved over there mid 2000s we didn't have one and more to the point didn't know we needed one. When furnishing the property I used my UK driving licence number....they do love a number do the Spanish. Happy days.

I was allowed to spend a lot of money throughout Spain without question in the early 2000s. Things change. Sadly.. :-)

NIE is basically just your ticket to get the foot in the door these days. Can’t really do anything legally without one.

Females only.......
