Im with you 100%, I wasn’t very clear on my original message. It’s more a dig at clubs who spend huge sums with zero criticism from the British media. Makes me sick they can without any sort of coverage that we would get in the same spot.Wasteful yeah, no strategy yeah, but I'm

I’m firmly in the camp that believes owners of clubs should be able to invest what they want, on who they want. Just like every other business in the capitalist world.

My target was aimed at Chelsea, United & Arsenal who continue to spend £££ with zero criticism. We got plenty when we went wild.
Would we get the same zero criticism if we had spent close to a billion in 2 years (likely will be a billion by end of window) and sat in mid-table? Extremely unlikely.
We’re top now yes but we were not always top, and that’s where I point out the difference in reporting.

Spot on.€800m + in the last 12 months… is a bit crazy. We’d be pummelled for that level of spending.
Most city fans dont care that other teams spend, its the hypocrisy that other teams spending is either ignored or praised while ours is criticised that annoys us.
Lets have a graphic of how much chelsea, arsenal, utd cost next to burnley or luton shown before they play like they do with city or have them referred to as expensively assembled like they do with city.
We just fairness in reporting and coverage instead of the bullshit we get.
