I do wonder if we get involved
I hope not!
I do wonder if we get involved
It’s like secret agreement between player and club that any bid above x clause will be accepted.May be right, but how could Forest keep it a secret, surely the player and his reps would know it existed and just tell any interested teams.
If it’s an agreement its worthless. If its a release clause it’s a legal contract. If we were in for him and quoted £100mill and it’s only twitter rumours that say it happened, then the player would just have told us about a release clause in his contract. The City name doesn’t come into it.It’s like secret agreement between player and club that any bid above x clause will be accepted.
To be likely known between player and club
Spurs could have bid 70m and had bid accepted but since they knew it’s 60m, they bid the same and got the player
We were apparently quoted more seeing city name
Forest are run by a mad man. Only last night there was talk about Forest sacking Nuno as their owner wants Ange now that he’s available. Forest owner apparently not happy with Nuno about the end of the season
The suggestion is he had a release clause but it also included a NDA if we were interested but quoted more. But Spurs knew the actually amount due to breach of NDA and an illegal approach then I can see why this would be an issueIf it’s an agreement its worthless. Makes me think we were never that close and he was just a plan B to Reijnders.
I honestly think they’re all class sans akanji. Dias and gvardiol need continued reps together and with Rodri in front of them it will be completely different. And gvardiol and khus need reps together. And who knows what happens with stones but when healthy he’s well good enough too.Who out of defence would you say is top drawer apart from probably gvadiol ?

That sounds seriously off. Why would a player agree to that? The suggestion is he had a release clause but it also included a NDA if we were interested but quoted more. But Spurs knew the actually amount due to breach of NDA and an illegal approach then I can see why this would be an issue
Nothing to do with size of club so I don’t get your pointThat sounds seriously off. Why would a player agree to that?
You can go to a big club if they offer £60m, but for the really big club that you're more likely going to want to go to, you can't tell them.
Nope sorry
Sorry - what did you mean then when you said it included an NDA if we were interested?Nothing to do with size of club so I don’t get your point
It Included and NDA full stop for anyone he never told us his release clause spurs illegally approached him they got told his release clauseSorry - what did you mean then when you said it included an NDA if we were interested?
Ah right - I misread your post as it only had an NDA for usIt Included and NDA full stop for anyone he never told us his release clause spurs illegally approached him they got told his release clause
An injury wouldn’t necessarily mean he would fail his medical, that isn’t how medicals work as such. They are essentially risk assessments so in theory if this injury is deemed a one off (I’m not even sure what his injury is to be honest) with no longer term issues he could still pass.
It’s why you get some players who will pass for one team but not another. If the signing would eat up a huge amount of budget then a players injury history might be deemed more of a risk than to a club who are just signing a player who won’t cost them too much.
Generally though a team won’t want to buy an injured player and pay for two months of his wages while they can’t use him.
Not quite the reason you expected though! Haha.Told you it wasn’t a done deal just yet, Lol
100% thisWe've signed enough bang average players as it is over the last two years to put ourselves in this position, We don't need anymore.
He's found his level which is Tottenham.
my thoughts exactly. I can't see what is in it for the player. You can go for £60m but you can't tell anyone. So team A says "we can give you £xk per week - it would be more, but we can't afford the £80m your club are asking for"whats the point of a release clause if nobody is allowed to know about it?
what a strange scenario.
