If it’s an agreement its worthless. If its a release clause it’s a legal contract. If we were in for him and quoted £100mill and it’s only twitter rumours that say it happened, then the player would just have told us about a release clause in his contract. The City name doesn’t come into it.It’s like secret agreement between player and club that any bid above x clause will be accepted.
To be likely known between player and club
Spurs could have bid 70m and had bid accepted but since they knew it’s 60m, they bid the same and got the player
We were apparently quoted more seeing city name
