Couldn't the inhabitants carry on their normal lives? If so is it worth going to war over something that wouldn't chaage that much. Or are there bigger things at play like oil.
The only reason Argentina has ever made this spurious claim is so it can get hold of the mineral rights.

Is it not the nearest country then?
The 48-year-old added: "Other countries have held on to their basic identity yet it seems to me that England was thrown away.

It was a question i didn't know the answer to and one in response to Argentina only wanting the mineral rights.
However if Argentinians discovered the isle of man first there would probably have been a war over it already the other way round.
But they didn't so bit of a non topic.
Falklands was when i was a nipper and nothing was taught about it when i was at school so i know little and was merely looking to learn a bit more.

Argentina didn't discover the Falklands first, and that is a fact. The only country with a genuine claim for sovereignty is the UK.
