Moss Side

Dear god but there are some twisting of facts going on here,

1) As has been pointed out, Manchester is and always has been Blue, there are a few area`s where you find ragarses...and interbreeding..in small numbers, and most places have one or two, kind of like the village idiot and used to laugh at.

2)The spotting of red shirts in the moss is explained by the number of "New imigrants" who have come into the area, and no doubt brought these items from either their home country where they made them and nicked one, or more likely were given one from an oxfam distribution and so know no better.

If you go on the club web site and bring up Manchester links you will find the confirmation.

" As Manchester's club, presented on this page are useful links for information on things to do in and around Manchester" ...............and no, there are no links to other clubs who just pretend to be from Gods own City.

I definitely see more people in City merch than AIG tat there. Football conversations that I overhear in the chippy are always about City, never about the red shite.

It is impossible for Manchester to be "red" when the rags aren't even in it. Seems simple to me.

In the 1920s and 30s Moss Side was reliably blue to its heart, my great grandparents were still living there then but my grandparents (though they'd married at Christ Church) had already moved away to Ashton. Since then the population of Moss Side has been largely replaced several times over, and it's not just Moss Side, Manchester as a whole has been exporting Mancunians for quite some time, all the big towns and cities in the the region have been doing it (a clear example of it is the way the accent in parts of Chorley has become noticeably more scouse than Lancashire, because of the planned clearance of parts of Liverpool). It's why I'm never surprised when I meet City supporters, perhaps now second generation southerners or Scottish, to find that their grandparents were also from Moss Side.

So Moss side was red and your new home Beswick is unquestionably red. Your definetley moving in the right direction (east) but your still about 5 miles shy of Glossop.

In honesty... I would say every area is pretty much even... one thing that cannot be denied is that city have a higher percentage of local match goers.. whereas, united have a higher proportion of 'fans'... that will change though... :-)

Levenshulme and Gorton are about the only enclaves around town for the red shite, Manchester is BLUE, always has been and always will be.

How about Rome? Do you know where that is? Evidently your players don't lol.

Why do you say this Bunk? I was born in Gorton and this isn't the case.

Speaking of Moss Side, went past Maine Road today, couldn't help but get out and stand in Kippax Street next to the site perimeter fence. All came flooding back.

Liverpool to Chorley?. Manchester is probably just as close. Cant believe that one. Plus their is nothing in Chorley to move their for. Not exactly Job Central. They might talk Polish but Scouse in Chorley, your havin a laff.
