The 5-2 game v Spurs at Maine Road under Brian Horton has to get a mention.

beagrie and summerbee amazing that day only overshadowed by "the little genius" copyright Brian Clarke

Both these games are up there!

The Spurs 5-2,I was at a wedding in Dublin that day watched in a pub full of rags(no suprises),brilliant performance.
QPR either 93 or 94,we had nine men and won 3-2,worked with a Rangers fan and met him Acton for a pint and the look on his face was priceless,I was always taking money off him as we always seemed to beat them, but he honestly thought his luck had changed.
Then some blues came in singing'we only needed 9 men',and he fucked off home.

Crikey how long have we got......

10-1 v Huddersfield.
3-3 v Newcastle.
5-1 v Charlton.
5-1 v Utd.
3-3 v Utd.
1-6 v Utd.
5-2 v Spurs.
3-4 v Spurs.
3-1 v Utd.
5-0 v Everton.
3-2 v Charlton.
2-5 v Stoke (entertaining running from the crowd).
3-4 v Norwich.

This list could go on and on and on....but the most entertaining game I've seen, will have to be the 5-2 win over Spurs at a rain sodden Maine Road with half the kippax gone. We had Walsh, Quinn, Beagrie, Summerbee and Flitcroft causing mayhem and they had the Romanians and Klinsmann. What a great spectacle it was and you literally couldn't take your eyes off it.

Beating Tottenham 5-0 in May 1977 when we were chasing the title.
They were relegated that season and I'd like to think that we just rubbed their noses in it a bit.
God I hate Spurs!

For me, it was beating United 1-0 at Wembley in the FA Cup semi final. Fergie would have given his left nut to beat us. That game meant so much, and just felt like a pivotal point around which our future would change... the mood of the fans was so brilliant beforehand... singing the poznan during the United team announcements. And the moments when we scored and the whistle blew are etched deeply into my being.

i might be wrong can't remember spurs getting relegated.

Another is when Fulham strode into town, riding high under Kevin Keegan, that was until we hammered them 3-0. I also thought Keegans debut game v Watford (Berkovic was brilliant), was another. The two dickings we got off Arsenal (one was midweek and one when Henry murdered Dunne) were pure entertainment, mainly because we were shit and it was good watching a great team.

I'm glad somebody else brought the Arsenal 4-0 up as I left Maine Rd probably feeling like the Norwich fans last season. Gutted but full of admiration for a great display, even if it wasn't City.
The 10-1, the 5-1 and numerous games in between are all etched in this addled brain.

As I remember they went down with Stoke and Sunderland or Coventry. I can't remember exactly but I know they were relegated.
