I know where you're coming from there but I mostly felt Dunnie knew what he wanted to do, it just didn't always come off! With the Mangler there seemed to be a randomness that was simultaneously entertaining and terrifying.

Most exciting is very subjective and comparing different eras is also tricky. However, we now have KDB who is the best in the world in his position and that is unquestionable. Is Haaland the best striker in the world? Because of his age he is the player you would most want in your squad. You could make an argument for Levandowski, Mbappe or Benzema. Personally I’d go for Haaland but it is subjective.

Special players that lift the crowd on their own. Barnes, Tueart, Francis and Paul Stewart, among others. Michael Hughes was another brief flicker of hope in a dire time in our history
