Any defeat vs Stockport,Lincoln,Halifax, Wigan etc. As other daid last night's defeat was infuriating but not humilating

You think last night was humiliating? Nah. Losing at Shrewsbury and Halifax in successive seasons in the cup in the late 70s.

Halifax was in the 80’s. Just.

I agree. I tried to make a case for it in my head and it is humiliating to an extent but as argued above it doesn't come close to what we've been through in the past.

Shrewsbury, Halifax, Tinpot, Bolton and John McGinlay getting promoted while we were in the Championship etc etc.

When you look back, how blessed we've been as City fans to know such dark days and then live through the remarkable renaissance of our club. There's never been a journey like it in football.

A day after a bad defeat we can truly still say we are lucky to have been City fans in this period. Not just lucky mind. Those blues from my generation are the salt of the Earth. We lived through weekend after weekend of unremitting disappointment but we never broke.
