There were some scenes there that day after O’Learys scored.
The Pope’s visit was huge but can’t help feel that in hindsight the country was under mass hypnosis.

Probably. It wa a crazy time. But also a great time if you were one of the lucky ones....which we were. At that time there was the terrible famines and Chernobyl a year later. But we were lucky and optimistic and fun and charitible and essentially good people (if a little deluded but what harm).Possibly the inspiration for the Miracle of Peckham (OFAH) which aired in 1986?
