Sweden v Japan at the City Ground in the 90s.

I was with friends in a Nottingham pub at lunchtime when some Swedish fans came in and told us about the match and that Pele was the guest of honour.

So we went.

Pele was indeed there, so I've seen the great man.

The sparsely attended match was mainly memorable for the large group of Japanese girls behind one goal who spent the whole match screaming 'Nippon, Nippon' in squeaky high pitched voices.

Preston v Forest, in the Forest end. Went for the trip intending to sit in the pub, given a free ticket. Started winding some Forest fans up because of standing.

England schoolboys v ???????? at Notts County Sturridge played and was brilliant.

FC United v Salford City at Salford rugby ground.

Maine Road v FC United at Stalybridge. Singing Bluemoon in the Maine Road end. Brilliant celebration when Maine Road scored.
