Most underrated City player ever?

Great shout. Not alot of talk about Bellamy but I thought he was great with us.
Shocked anyone would say Bellamy was underrated he is a guy we signed for £14m was released on a free with the last year of his contract being cancelled. He was at very very best a costly signing(it works out he cost 350,000 per appearance for the club, or 1,000,000 per goal) ....

Johnny Crossan was one of my favourites.

The key match was during the 1965-66 promotion season. City were neck and neck with Huddersfield and they played at Maine Road on New Years Day. Crossan scored with a superb diving header that was captured throughout Fleet Street. Mike Doyle added a second.

That gave City the edge that they never lost. Huddersfield were eventually pushed back to 4th place behind City, Southampton, and Coventry.
Signed him from Standard liege ........ Added class to midfield and was crucial to our promotion,

He came from Sunderland actually. I remember him ripping City to shreds at Maine Road in a Red and White Strip a couple of seasons before.

Yes You're right....for some reason the Standard liege connection stuck my mind.Probably because european signings were very rare in those days.

Crossan certainly played for Standard Liège as well as Sparta Rotterdam before joining Sunderland. He had been frozen out of football in the UK by Derry City for wanting a move.

Mark Kennedy, under Joe Royle a brilliant left winger, big, strong, pace, dribbling and scored more than his fair share of goals.
