Turns out even those like my wife who have incurable conditions that will only ever get worse will be assessed as well now. Seems the government have found a cure for MS.

But they won't as anyone who has researched beyond red top headlines knows. The reassessments are nothing to do with providing appropriate support and everything to do with slashing entitlement regardless of need. Look at the website link I have provided earlier, read about the Inhumane and callous treatment applicants are suffering and you might weep also.

no surprise whatsoever to the OPs post, while this and other governments of this country are catering to Pakistan and India handing out millions of pounds in bilateral aid its no surprise there is nothing left in the pot for our own citizens,this country has dished out 227 million pounds ''per year'' to these places while a growing percentage of the UK are in need to use food banks

A point i made earlier in the thread as well mate.

Currently we are down for £2.3 Billion in aid for Syria and thats before we get the bill for bombing the shit out of the place first.

Again, where will Dave find all that money from given there is no money in the pot as they keep telling us?

Please inform me. I wouldn't want an mp shot. I am sure he doesn't go to bed at night thinking I will make cuts to fuck up a genuine disabled person do you? I think he is probably just trying to reform a system that got out of hand maybe? Seems a reasonable assumption to me. Tell me I am wrong,

What he has done is pander to his right wing followers by hitting those most in need financially under the ruse of saving money. Meanwhile, not a penny is actually saved as it gets wasted on government department wages and mistakes implementing the cuts and of course, lining the pockets of private organisations like ATOS and now Maximus, a company riddled worldwide with accusations of corruption but one our government is happy to jump into bed with.

Worsley let do a bit of research as I asked you to.
If IDS isn't a callous twat why are DLA recipients being sent on 300 mile round trips for reassessment? They are, it is well documented. As they are allocated an assessment they are sent to the first vacant assessment ANYWHERE in the country.
When they get there wheelchair bound assessees discover in some cases the assessment centre is up two flights of stairs.
Whilst being assessed many find that the assessor has clearly not read their case notes. Then people are subject to demeaning activities like having to crawl across the floor to prove they cannot walk.
All these are well documented.

So Ian Duncan Smith goes to bed at night wanting people to be made to crawl across floors? Do you believe that? I haven't had time to do research and you may well be right that it is savage the cuts they are making, I am not saying that.

I am saying, potentially the system was abused and the government are trying to do something about it. Maybe some of the methods of doing so are not correct. I will do some more research on it when I have time.

Edit - A quick 30 second google search shows Bradford has the highest percent of disabled Badge misuse in the country - what a surprise. Also the highest number whiplash claims in the country. Unfortunately for the left - you cant have it all ways. Nasty government making cuts - the country has got into a huge deficit largely because all and sundry were allowed to take the piss and abuse the system.

How has any abuse of the scheme cost the country anything? The money claimants use for motability comes from their incapacity benefit. Money they would get regardless.

The video of IDS fist-pumping and and cheering when Osborne announced his escalation of the tory's war on the poor showed EXACTLY what his attitude to the less well-off is.
He is a sacrificial pawn, spouting thatcherite dogma, and the reaction to it being carefully monitored by Cameron. Everything he is responsible for makes the tory claim as standing for a "one nation" party a piss-take on the grandest of scales.

What has whiplash claims got to do with this?

He is saving no money, absolutely none.

That leaves his policy as one of cruelty and ideology. He comes across as cold and uncaring because thats exactly what he is and will stop at nothing to hurt those most needy in our society whilst no doubt happy to claim everything he can from the public purse as an MP, after all, recent history shows that MP's have took the piss and abused the system more than most and just next week, are going to vote through a new law that means those amongst them caught fiddling the public expenses can remain anonymous even when arrested for such offences.

I wonder if a benefit claiment caught fiddling would be afforded such protections?
