I'll get my tin hat on before this post but I can't fathom out why we're all moaning about the MOTD highlights from tonight.

Yes, we dominated possession but does us passing the ball about not really going anywhere or breaking them down count as highlights? It showed Fernandinhos couple of efforts and Milners early on, I can't really think of anything else worthy of including as 'highlights' from our performance today other than the goal.

Palace on the other hand hardly saw the ball but forced 3 excellent saves from Hart and missed a sitter and another very decent chance.

The comments by Pulis and Murphy after the game is a different matter but as for the highlights themselves, MOTD got the game pretty much spot on.

3 excellent saves ? they were easy saves. if joe let them in, this forum would be in meltdown and pellegrini would drop him.

fuck motd.
Watch the highlights again; the shot from Ward was past him and he tipped it wide with his finger tips.

The graceless comments by Pulis summed up the sort of man he is. I am not surprised the BBC used them as a stick to beat us with again. Funny how the pundits never mention Chelsea spending more than us or Real Madrid or Bayern. Pulis epitomises the bad things in English football. The over-reliance on long balls and inflexible defensive formations..all underpinned by a bitter jealousy of "foreign managers" who actually play the game the way it is supposed to be played. Pulis is just a nasty piece of work...like his role model Ferguson.

My arse. Especially one of them, from Jedinak or whatever he's called, was world class. What did you expect MOTD to show?

i expected them to show all the 23 attempts we had on goal.
19 of them were woefully hit, easily blocked or saved by the 'keeper throwing his cap on the ball. It's a highlights show.

i'm not convinced. crystal palace didn't bother the defence nor the goal keeper. they were piss poor.

At least they showed the chart for the best ever goal scorer of all time in the Premier league. And who is number 1 SERGIO

its sickening.

chelsea's squad probably is worth around £400 million, yet they always talk about how man city are the favorites.

They bothered our goalkeeper a hell of a lot more than we bothered theirs. Joe Hart as our MOTM says it all, he was superb and deserves credit.
