Mourinho or Mancini

Mancini for me. For me easily the best manager we've had in over 50 years of watching the Blues.

The grass is not always greener on the other side.

When that lot in trafford had big problems they stuck with old purple nose.

We're not in half the state that they were, so why are so many people shitting bricks?

Citing moronio as an alternative is a frightening prospect. He's off his nut - We'd be looking for a new boss within two years.

Thank God most of you lot aren't holding the purse strings.
Maybe but we will win more trophies with him than with Mancini.

You can't say that for certain, but even if we did... Who would you replace him with when he sneaked away?

The new 'next big thing'?

Move on - Mancini is the best person for the long term.
I wonder if Inter fans had this debate, well we know what happened there they won the treble and CL after Mourinho took over from Mancini.

Macini is the best person for the long term? Where's the evidence in that we've regressed from last season and all he does is moan about not getting one of his many 30million targets and with the FFP regualtions coming in there is less chance of him getting shitloads to spends.

Who would I replace Mourinho with? Loads of great up and coming managers about i.e Klopp, simeone, Laudrop or possibly promote internally with Vieira.

robertos failings in europe will be his undoing, the one thing that infuriates me with him was how we didnt press against top teams, we always concede possession easily playing against good teams.

That's as may be and I think we would but, perpetual moaners like you and a few other will never be happy, come the first blip you will be off again ranting and raving, then you will want the next best thing, it's all rather childish
Been a long blip, apart from the end of last season we've been pretty average for over a year now, how many times can you say we've played well this season?

Have a feeling mourinho is a done deal for the summer. Think Mancini fancies going back home wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at Milan with his Son. Love the guy but Mourinho would be a step up, no doubt about it.

And where are Inter now...? Not exactly pulling up trees. Meanwhile, we've won the FA Cup and the League, and are still in with a shout on both this season.

I accept it's not gone well this year, but Bobby's target signings were lost by Marwood, and we ended up wasting money.

So they'll all be proven and available in three years time then? Who are you in real life GUDG? Mystic Meg?

Viera will be off to Arsenal before we know it. If he ever takes charge at City, he'll only be doing it for the money. You might as well put Maicon in charge**.

We will obviously have to agree to disagree!

:)

**You can use that one in the future if you want, I know you'll use it!

Why do people think Mourinho is better for us than Mancini? If anything, Mourinho is faring worse than Mancini (16 points away from Barca) with an arguably better team than City. The only saving grace for Mou this season, will be if he manages to win the Champions League...

I have total respect for Mancini for what he has achieved with City, but I'm frustrated with his constant tinkering with tactical formations this season that has even the players confused. What happened to the winning formula of last season? Has he even tried to put Yaya up front this season, the tactic that won us games during the latter part of last season? Blaming the players, and of lack of reinforcements, is not the solution, even if these reasons may be factors causing the current dismal scenario, when we have a team as good as City's. I can only hope that he finds out what is wrong fast, ensure steps to correct it, and hopefully bring back the spirit of last season..

If we ARE going to get a new manager, I hope its somebody who is both tactically astute AND get the best out of our players. I don't know anything about Mourinho, but based on news articles, he doesn't seem to score particularly high on people skills..

People skills?
Don't know about Madrid but I'm sure players from his other clubs have said plenty of positive things about him

As you can see from my post above, I have only considered the present, or this season to be precise (along with the lot of faint hope that we recreate our previous season), so yes I'm referring to Mourinho and Real Madrid. My perception regarding Mourinho's people skills was simply based on the Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos incident and the rumored revolt by the players. Like I said it's from the papers, and I have no idea how Mourinho really is..

Anyway, whatever happens, hope it's for City's best..

Evidence suggests otherwise - 2nd in the Premier League suggests something other than 'average'

15 wins out 26 with our squad is pretty average imo then you have to consider our performances in europe and going out of the LC to an awful Villa side its not been great. Its not awful but we could and should be doing so much better with the players Mancini has at his disposal.
