Mourinho is still the Special One then? Not in Spain

He's cut rather an amusing figure on the touchline at the Bernabeu this season and spent most of it with his back turned to some very unhappy Real madrid fans. Their members want Benitez to replace him.

And in two weeks time he could be regarded with derision by most of the football world if Utd do as many expect and dump him out of the Champions League. He wont last the season then, he will be fired and after his comments about mancini and city after they eliminated us, they'll be any City fans who will be quite happy about that.

He's still a very big fish, but maybe a little tarnished now. Still prefer mancini, but as others have said if it goes pear-shaped then he'll be in the frame

Should he fail to win the Champions League at Madrid, Jose will take it very personally as a blot on his CV. Even if he does win it, he wont be loved by the Madrid fans any moreso.

If they get knocked out, and he gets the chop - it's not unthinkable that he'll take a year out to gather his thoughts, recharge his batteries, and dissapear to be "missed" and "desired" so to speak.

Mourinho couldn't give a shit about Madrid, only the CL is keeping him going.

He won't walk, loses his pay off.

He would rather be sacked, he'll leave Madrid in the summer.

Mancini signed a new deal last summer and he'll be gone.

I'm not sure the owners have ever really had 100% confidence in Mancini, certainly from what I've heard from my sources at or close to the club. Whoever comes in next will have to be a manager who is happy to work under an influential Director of Football, because that's the way it's going to be here now.

Which would rule out Mourinho?

If he hasn't learned to play nice with others, then definitely. I admire his skill, but I don't want him trying his silly power plays here like he has at Madrid.

Its funny how folk on here say he keeps everything in house and doesnt go public with squabbles in the dressing room
He is the complete opposite
And players will walk through walls for him,try tellin that to the 7 players who will quit the club if he stays on...
Only place left for this tool is the chavs where he will fit in just right..

Atm they are both going through a bad patch
If you are going by trophies jomo has achieved more so would be hard to argue he isnt better than bobby..
