i think the atmosphere is a bi product of us moving the away fans just a touch to the side of the south stand and us all being one. the only reason i want to move them is to eliminate their quite obvious advantage they get now.
what advantage do they have now?

i would be inclined to agree with you if our home record was poor, but its bloody good!

we did a similar poll last month bill...the thread was entitled "give eastlands its kippax"

its a no from me ;p

i moved to 111 a few years ago to be next to the away fans....for me, part of the match experience is banter with the opposing fans.
guaging the reactions and the amount of people in 111 on matchdays actually looking towards the away fans for large sections of the game, i would say that a lot of those in 111 are there for the away fans too

If we move away fans than others will too.

Away fans need to be in the cheapest section at every ground and not high up away from the pitch.

agreed shady m8
can accept swopping sides with the away fans possibly but dont want them moved away altogether .. tbh we need to get the the stands to sing ala uefa cup ...

no, i think it would be bad for the atmosphere overall. lets face it. apart from the blocks either side of the away fans there is virtually no atmosphere in the ground. you move the away fans to the gods and the hard core singers move to the gods too leaving the rest of the ground sitting in silence. some supporters would relocate to other parts but if its not near the away fans then there is no banter so less reason to be singing. its a nice idea but there is no point. plus if there was a problem with our home form then i could understand wanting change but we have a good home record over the last 3 seasons so why fix something when its not broken?

I don't see the point in moving the away fans, and to be honest I can't see it happening.

Firstly, it'd be a logistical nightmare for the club and the police.

Secondly, this huge advantage it gives away teams is a fallacy; our home form over the last few seasons suggests as much.

Thirdly, I can't see there being a big improvement in atmosphere. Whilst our away support has always been really vocal, our home support (certainly since the Taylor report) has been similar to every other Premiership ground (i.e, medicore, in terms of noise at least). Moving the away fans won't change that.

Whilst I'm all in favour of improving the atmosphere at Eastlands, I can't see this having a radical effect unfortunately.

Yes because i think it'll serve the team by reducing the psychological effect of away fans on visiting teams. Frankly i want to see city winning and i want every advantage played for.

Thats far more important to me than any petty, considerations about having to move seats. Ffs. Learn to adapt, it wont be hard.

Operation one end ftw!

This ...in spades..
