The people in the singing areas are in the shittest seats in the ground already.
i agree with that, but thats just our opinions, some people like to be sat low down though or in the corners of the ground, everyone has differnt opinions on views around the ground.

thats why i have said the only logical way for this is to get a plan of where to move away fans, then the season ticket holders in the blocks where the plans are to move them, have a vote for or against the idea

Exactly. This can't be a difficult thing to do.

Use this..

Wierdly, not a single on of those diagrams represents exactly how it is.

They all look like you are looking down a pint glass at them.

In perspective though we have played:

Wolves at home (hardly going to be a great atmosphere)

West Ham on a night match ( not enough time to soak up the beer)

Arsenal (in all fairness weren't a shit atmosphere)

Next game Fulham- (never create an atmosphere)

I truly think if we can keep on as we are going in the league our atmosphere will get better and better....and it will no doubt without the need of moving the away fans...

As people are stating about not being able to hear each other from south stand to south 110 east 110....you only have to question why the Colin Bell end and the north stand don't also catch on to the songs.....

They simply won't because as soon as you stand up in there, you get some moaning person telling you to sit down.

The only way which will create an immense atmosphere is if we could somehow make a stance for everyone to stand up...thats our biggest problem.

after fighting this for 2 days i may have changed my opinon, lets face it the atmosphere is piss poor most of the time and anything that may improve it is worth a 1/2 season trial. Now im 100% aganist the idea the away fans have an advantage, our home form puts that nonsense to bed.

So as long as i dont have to move my seat in 117 and the only people who can vote on this are the fans who are effected by seat change,
Those fans should be compensated.

The only real place is to move them is singing section, and a southstand full of city sounds good to me as long as only the singing section get the seats in the southstand.

anyone know how many seats we keep for away fans and how many seats the singing section take up...

There, opionion changed which dosent happen much on this forum !

OK, try this...

This is clearer, but won't fit...

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.2-tickets.com/venues/CityOfManchesterStadium.gif" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.2-tickets.com/venues/CityOfM ... tadium.gif</a>

Atm, there are two strips of wasted seats, if the away fans sell out, either side whereas if they were up in the East Stand Level 3 then we only need one strip to their right, and a couple of rows in front I suppose. But easier to steward, I would've thought and more flexible depending on how many away fans there actually are. The South Stand becomes the "singing section" and whoever's up in the 3rd next to them will probably start to make more noise too.

It gets my vote anyway.

And if we could have the whole South Stand then that would be a lot more than there is atm. It's not going to happen everywhere else. If only!
