Fucking hell this is getting worse by the day , people responsible have to go to prison but i feel like most enquiries those guilty will have nothing but embarassement handed to them

Fucking hell, they need locking up these people, seriously, imagine if you’d chinned him for doing it, knowing you were in the right, then got done for assault!

It seems to me that most of these investigators are internal promotions. What legal training and systems training do they get because they all seem to deny knowing how Horizon works and make up the law as they go along yet are allowed to prosecute people

Sounds like a results obsessed operation.
They didn't care as long as they got the money "returned" and bonuses paid. Same mentality as crooked cops stitching up a fall guy for a murder, or bailiffs using illegal tactics get money paid.
That guy can't possibly have thought he had the right to seize goods under PoCA , just bully boy tactics.

Its pure ego - he has been proven wrong and a court has overturned the conviction - he notes the verdict of the appeal court but his ego cannot allow him to say in public that he was in any way wrong ..... for cross reference see Brexit

9PM on C4 tonight a new documentary series about the Miners Strike - I am guessing this will get people angry too.
I also read that the folks behind Mr Bates are doing a new series on the Govt and how it dealt with Covid - 19.
Politicians need to wise up - in modern times with citizen journalists somebody is always keeping the receipts

There was a programme on last night. 'Tonight' I think. It also covered Hillsborough and the Blood scandal cover up. One of the people interviewed was Burnham. He went on at length about Hillsborough, how the Government had covered up and lied. How it was disgraceful for the victims. They then showed a clip of him in Parliment defending the Post Office and the Government regarding Horizon. When asked about it, apparently he wasnt to blame for the cover up, civil servants had lied to him. Typical scouser, it was someone else's fault, (the lying devious bastard) To me, he came out of it very poorly.

It’s known Blair wanted to encourage Japanese firms to invest in the UK so he pushed the Horizon system through regardless. I understand they lost NHS data too.

Thatcher held a real grudge against the miners because they brought down the Tory government in the early 70's and she was hell bent on revenge
Scargill was an absolute power hungry ****, who thought he could do the same. The general public still had the winter of discontent stuck firmly in their minds and Scargill was another confrontationalist union leader attempting to grind the country to a halt
If the miners had someone more charismatic as their leader who appealed to the general public, I'm certain they would have won
