I've spoken to a lot of 'knowledgeable' blues about what they think of Cook and the response i get is that this guy pretty much goes against everything we stand for. We have all the riches in the world but still remain humble and close to our working class routes, and rightly so, we should be proud of that. Gary Cook reminds me of the little kid whose best mate is the toughest kid in school, in his gobbing off and his tall tales creating a rod for his teams back. Im sure all of us wouldnt want to be labeled as the new chelsea or hated as much as united, in which could well happen.

If i were a fan of another team, i would possibly be thinking, How did someone who knows so little about football get such a lucrative job.

I haven't really been one of the Cook detractors on here, but I do wish he would keep his mouth shut! He is clearly a talented man to which his career with Nike would allude, but he seems to have no idea about football fans. This is exactly the kind of comment that annoys fans from our club and others alike.

I just feel that he disappears for a few months and then all of a sudden opens his trap and makes a howler everytime.

I don't like to criticise City but at the end of the day, this is a forum for debate.

I agree that the route to Eastlands through Miles Platting is very working class.

I don't believe the Arsenal game should be the bigger game but I can see how deluded rags might think so. Personally, I'd be very surprised if the rags can sustain a decent title challenge They haven't got the squad and anyway, they are twatzoids.

Pam for us it wouldn't be, but then we've gone 34 years without winning a trophy. Champions League and Premier League are of most importance to united, as that is where the bulk of their revenue......errr debt repayment come from, if they lose to Arsenal then it makes Arsenal favourites for position 1 or 2 in the premier league, while if they beat us, it gives them a final, in a very busy time of the season, with the prize of the Europa League (something which I hope one day soon they will be as grateful as we are).

Maybe when Cook gets his way, we'll treat the Carling Cup like united (normally) do.

This man loves jumping in with both feet, and yes listening to it we can all hold our head in our hands as we wait for the ridicule at work on Monday morning after getting dumped out by Scuthorpe in true Blue style........

I am daring to believe and enjoying being swept along on a wave of positivity. Trust me I am not blind to our recent history and left naiveity at the door on my wedding day. I am as black humoured and pessimistic as any true Blue. But why the ***k not? Best team in the world? We are already there... Take the mantle from United? It is coming... We may get beat on Wednesday, but if we do I won't be hanging my head in shame and taking Thursday off work I'll be looking forward to the next one. The tide has turned and our success will only grow despite the odd blip here and there - but that's football. And when we slip i don't give a stuff what Durham, Gough, Houghton, Green, Holt, Shearer, Lawrenson and all the other blerts have to say.

Keep shouting from the rooftops Gary. Keep raising billboards in OUR city and rattling Egos in Milan & Barcelona. After Mancini has settled in people will start to listen..
